So, true story- Many years ago, when I was still living in Ohio, a friend and I had gone camping on this tiny island out in Lake Eerie, accessible only by ferry. During the night, a huge storm came up. It blew all the water to the other side of the lake, making it so the ferries didn't have enough water to run. I kid you not. This actually happened. This piece memorialized those storm driven waters leaving us stranded.
