Forged Metal
The process of fold forming is a rather time intensive one- It involves repeatedly heating the metal up till it is glowing, quenching it in cold water, and then folding, hammering, or forming it. The metal has to be heated up regularly or else cracks can form. At the end, all the folds are hammered back out, still heating repeatedly. This leaves for a once again flat sheet, but now one with raised lines and areas. The process is controlled; however, the metal has a lot to do with the finished product. It is important that the smith knows her metal well, and becomes almost a collaboration between material and artist. Tweet

Neutron Star- size 9 or custom
This ring can be made in any size. The deep black of the malachite really sets the stainless steel off nicely. I've lightly plated the silver bezel in copper in order to really bring out the colors of the stone and the metal in rests on. Learn More
Moon on your Finger- size 9 or custom
This ring is a chunky ring for a tiny finger. It can be sized up as high as a 10.5; as it sizes up, it will get marginally less chunky. Any size about a 7 will not have threads. I can also make this ring, with a similar stone, from other size nuts, if you want a smaller or much larger ring. Learn More
Carried by the Tide- size 9
There's something about the flow of this piece, and the two lovely little drops of gold, that catches the imagination. Like finding mysterious treasures on the beach, you wonder where these came from, and what the world is like where they've been. A very good traveling piece.
