More letters fit in the same space when written sideways, like this, than when written upright, as in my other pendants. I've had lots of folks ask for space for longer words on pendants, and here we have it. Shorter words will make more compact pendants, longer words will make longer pendants. A 16 character word will be about 1.5 inches long. And yes, spaces count as characters.
